MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.
SQL Error: 2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql.avbbf.com' (113) Query: [READ] Unable to connect to MySQL server
Please contact the MyBB Group for support.

Does this mean that my hosting company server is down or does it mean that some files on the server are messed up?

Put "localhost" as your sql server.
