you can just remove the <li> to </li> that has the drop down content in it.

Yes but the thin is there was two tabs on the oter end... UCP and ACP ad I don't know how to get those back
those are based on the user that is viewing the site and are separate templates and comes from the header_welcomeblock_* templates and show up where {$welcomeblock} is in the header template
