Invitation only private board
#1

is there a mod for an invitation system? Basically so it makes the forum private, and people can only join if sent an invite by another member.

If you're able to update to 1.6 (it won't work as is),

Is anyone going to update this plugin? I'd love to have it on my new forum 1.6.5. I can't seem to find anything that is compatible for the current version of MyBB.

I will work on a plugin for this soon. Don't know if the old plugin can be updated and released as it doesn't even have a license attached. Sad

Thank you for your help. I have installed this plugin and attempted to edit the templates as defined on the download page you have provided for your plugin however once I have edited the template I can no longer get into the invitation manager. If there is more advise you could offer please do beings I'm trying to get this to function properly on my forum. Please note, I'm just using the default template for now that the forum software came with. I hope that can help you diagnose my problem.

When you open the manager of invitations and you view the source of the page, you get "<!-- 403 -->"?
If so, you must set your user group in plugin's configuration.

How would I do this?

I have another question as well...

If I disable registrations, How would I put the activation code on the page that tells the user that registrations are disabled and can your plugin still allow the person to register only if the key given to them was valid?

Edit the "Who can administer invitations" option.

You don't need to disable registrations for have a private board. Just set "Is the invitation code is required" option to On.
Then, visitors will need to have an invitation code to register.
