Missing 'Install' folder

I've inherited my forums without an 'install' folder, presumably deleted for security purposes. Can I just re-upload the 'install' folder from a copy of 1.6.4 (my current version), in order to progress with the 1.6.5 update?

That can be done, just re upload the 'install' folder. I would suggest just locking the installer next time though, as it will work like a charm.

you should be fine just uploading the entire 1.6.5 package and that will have the install folder contents you need.
Lost interest, sold my sites, will browse here once in a while. It's been fun.

Hahaha, I'm such an idiot. I was so hung up on reading through the wiki first, before I started doing anything, I neglected to see that the install folder was included with the 1.6.5 upgrade files.
This is what happens when you have 25 years' experience in computer support. *sigh*
