Global and Default Templates

Hi,
I was wandering whats the difference between the Global and default templates of mybb...

which of these templates should i edit in order to display the changes the same way on all 2 or 3 themes that i am planning to use on my forums...

Global Templates are templates that are custom, often used by plugins.

Default templates are used on the default theme, and themes that use the same template set.

Global templates can be used as a variable in each of the theme and they are mainly used up by plugins to create new templates.

Default templates of default theme and likewise other themes.

Thanks for d replies....just one more doubt to be cleared...

i want to configure the forum with the banner and plugins which look the same...i am going to put the Board style option for users where they can select the theme of their choice...
so all the settings that i do for images and plugins can be it seen when the users try different themes on the forum....

Whatever edit you make (other than plugins) in themes would be needed to be made in another themes as well as it won't edit all the themes.
