Well, for myself, I use my own company Toungue Makes sense. Free VPS for Moi!
But in all seriousness,

Business wise, I use HostDime and HoneLine.... Amazing companies.

Custom server. Nothing beats being able to take the box apart and reconfigure it yourself!

Only if you ISP allows it. Most won't allow it. (Costs my dad 50/M for a very basic DSL line that will do it)
