Auto Img Tags

On my forums I recently installed the 'AutoMedia' plugin, it's extremely useful and everyone who uses the forums is content with it.

I was wondering if the same could be done for any image where you wouldn't need the [img][/img] as it would just instantly appear, the types of image files I want to focus on are;

.gif
.png
.jpg
etc..
