It doesn't currently do any of the template edits automatically and isn't meant for use on a live board just yet.

As you can see my live board is XenForo powered but I'm currently setting up a new myBB based forum and would like to test this. I'm aware of the fact that it's not done - don't worry. And I also know that it doesn't do the template edits automatically that is why I am asking you how to get the indev version working - what template edits need to be done. Thanks.

Oh, I see. I'll work out what all the edits are and post them here in a minute or two

I know you've been busy, but I am wondering what the status of this project is. Any updates?

I'm hoping for the first proper beta release within a week. There are a few annoying little bugs I need to track down before I'll feel happy enough to make any kind of release.
Just to let you guys know, I have made a few schema changes locally to allow the prevention of duplicate alerts and am hoping to push the changes to github later today after work. I'm also hoping to have a stable-ish public beta version out by the end of this week. I will also be releasing developer info at that time to allow other plugin developers to hook into MyAlerts.
I am still, however, unable to track down the stupid link bug that seems to occur sporadically on my mybb.euantor.com. I have no idea of the cause at the time being. TIme to post a thread in the dev forum for some advice from the experts... EDIT: New version pushed to github. Check this thread for more details: http://mybb.euantor.com/thread-38-lastpost.html

Any chance of directing alerts to an Ajax chat window? That way users can stay in touch with all developments they are interested in live, from the most convenient place (often main forum window will be closed)

I guess you could embed the alerts page via and iframe and enable the ajax updating.
