I've honestly not been keeping up with this -- any quick way to track your progress or at least know where you're at with this?

I released v1.01 one the mods site on Thursday Anxiety's got it installed on WWEForums with no problems that I know of and there are no known major bugs (apart from the whole marking as read thing - which I will be fixing tomorrow).

I do advise running it on localhost to get the templates and styling sorted out though as you're pretty much guaranteed to have to modify the styling unless you're using the default theme.

I could speed it up a bit. It's an easy enough fix for the jquery version, not sure about the prototype one.

Just checked and the demo site is using the prototype version. The jquery version opens the dropdown much faster. I'll enable it in a moment.

My current plan is to mark them read when you click on them using a bit of JS.

This sounds like the best idea, IMO. As surprisingly as it may sounds not everybody uses FB and pretty sure that even if all the people who installs this does use it, it doesn't have to be exactly similar to it.

You can add a close image in every row to be able to mark each row as read (similar as the PM bar works) and well as a "Mark all read" link at the bottom (which seems to be what you did).

There is no real need to ignore anyone, you just need to sum all what people "require"/want and make it work smoothly.
