An excellent plugin, we have been waiting a long time
Excellent choice in allowing you to disable ajax, because of big forum could create problems of cpu usage.
It's possible use a variable to print the number of new notifications like in your test forum ?

Zarta, if I understand right, it would be there. This plugin is under development still.

Yes, you can access the unread count through {$mybb->user['unreadAlerts']}.

I'd been hoping to release the first beta last week but unfortunately I'm still being plagued by this random link bug on my demo board and have yet to find a satisfactory solution.
