Shark Fishing Website...
Aha. I thought that gif/png thing of the fish was good. Professional icon. Well, you might be able to adapt the idea a little for the logo - the waves - the sky - and a shark jumping out of the water. Or maybe just his head and teeth.

I contacted to owner of that icon to make sure it's ok to use.

ok so I can use that icon now lol
It doesn't matter if the creator of the icon gave you permission. Did Grooveshark?

You would be OK to use this in reference to Grooveshark, but not just as a forum icon for something totally unrelated.
that icon is not grooveshakrs that use a different one and the creator gave me a commercial use for it. I had to pay 5 bucks for it so yes it is ok to use.

not grooveshark?

Problem is.. is that seen as the grooveshark logo?

I mean yes it is officialy the same idea, a shark in the water. But the official grooveshark logo is different from that.

And besides that the author of those icons also wouldnt have permission from all of these networks/sites:
It's very possible that icon author is not allowed to sell those images. Anyway, do what you want.

Im 100% sure he isnt allowed to.. only if it was for the twitter logo which you are not allowed to edit:

  • Use speech bubbles or words around the bird.
  • Rotate or change the direction of the bird.
  • Animate the bird.
  • Duplicate the bird.
  • Change the color of the bird.
  • Use any other marks or logos to represent our brand.
