ajax chat blueimp, often orange status (connection) make delay

i use this ajax chat ( https://blueimp.net/ajax ) in my forum.

there are no problem, when still few user online chat,
but, when a lot of user online in my chat, i often see ORANGE STATUS in my chat room (circle in right corner).
green, orange, and then RED.
and i often got the orange status.

i ever check in my website traffic, there's no problem in it.

is there any solution about this one ?
help please.

can it (server/chatbot) be faster in reading user request?
