[Error Message] UHHH - MyBB is automatically repairing a crashed table??

Can someone clue me in as to why my MyBB forum just set itself to closed? How can I fix this? What was the cause?
It says "MyBB is automatically repairing a crashed table" - how can I monitor this repair? Will it recover?

I toggled the "Board Closed?" switch from Off to On and back to Off again. It has opened my boards but how do I know the table has been repaired? Can/should I repair the entire DB?

Right. Well, what causes this to happen? How can it be prevented? Should the database be periodically repaired?

This user has been denied support.

The automatic repair is done in the "Tables Check" task, which is not enabled by default.

In theory it's possible (however unlikely) that it will leave your board closed indefinitely.

In the admin/task log it should show which tables were repaired by the task.
