I get this forum-2.html instead of this forumdisplay.php?fid=2
what is going on?

You have search engine friendly URLs on.

You can turn these off here:

Admin CP -> Configuration -> Server and Optimization Options -> Enable search engine friendly URLs?

Set that to disabled if you want the forumdisplay.php url. Hope this helps! Smile.
