MyBB Error (41)

Trying to load MyBB and receive the following error message:

MyBB has experienced an internal error and cannot continue.

Error Type:
MyBB Error (41)
Error Message:
Your board has not yet been installed and configured. Please do so before attempting to browse it.

Files and folders have been chmoded as specified. I did notice that both config.php and settings.php are 0 kb files, is that correct?

You need to install the board as the error states. Go to /install/.
