Users not being automatically logged in after registration
Regardless of if I have my board set to send a verification email or if I have it set to instant activation, once a user registers on my board they dont automatically get logged in to my board.
I know when I registered here and on other mybb boards, it automatically logs me in after registration.

It is running: 1.6.6 (it had been upgraded by the previous owner. not sure if/when this stopped working)
To try and troubleshoot things, I have done the following:
1. Switched to default theme
2. Deactivated all plugins
3. Reverted to default .htaccess
4. Double checked cookie settings.
5. Tested both (Instant Activation & Send Email Verification)
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
