That's why then. As 1.1.x does not support multibyte functions.
You can just delete the code again then.

plus, the problem in the essence of this tread is not to appear at 1.18 .. Smile

Get the Multi Byte extension. Your host should be able to install it on your server.

crackter thought I applied the fix on 1.1.8,
I, as a response, wrote that there is and was no problem with hebrew chars in 1.1.8.

and I did try the fix on 1.2.1 as you folks asked!

can you please, provide another fix, or a built-in fix that will make the Hebrew version of mybb to eventually work? except the byte extension thinggy? [ which i can't have to work properly]

so what are Hebrew users to do ??

How could we use downgrade vers's without any difficulties...
kindly, consider doing smth to the encoding to make it possible for us to use!

This never worked on pre 1.2.
We _can't_ if you don't have the multibyte extension installed on the server!!

This problem did not exist in 1.1.x !!

I've been usin mybb 1.0 till 1.1.8, now im stuck, we are all stuck...
all those who don't have the "extension thing" at least..........
