[For 1.6] MentionMe 2.3.3 (for MyAlerts 1.05)
#1

While this plugin works with MyAlerts, it is not necessary for the tagging features to work. Actually this plugin is intended to work normally when MyAlerts is not installed on the board.

When MyAlerts is installed integration is enabled by default (in Admin CP) and enabled by default for every user.

One setting is added to the MyAlerts setting group and one setting is added to the Alerts Settings page of the User CP.

  1. If MyAlerts is installed after this plugin you will be presented with a message warning you that MentionMe has not yet been integrated with MyAlerts. You must uninstall and reinstall the plugin to enable alerts.
  2. If MyAlerts is not installed at the time of this plugin's installation no settings will be created in the MyAlerts group and that code will not be processed in mention_alerts.php
  3. If MyAlerts is removed after this plugin installs its MyAlerts setting, the plugin will remain working with no changes and without leaving any trash behind. MyAlerts will remove the mention setting and alterations in its installation process.

Advanced Matching

[Image: ss_3_zpsfa89c70d.gif]

This feature will match usernames that include spaces without the need for quotes. This featured is disabled by default. It can dramatically increase queries and should be used with caution. When it is disabled (default) no extra code is processed.

[Image: on.png]Much Better Name Caching!

Now frequent visitors names are cached daily by MentionMe so that the information is ready when those users are mentioned-- and it builds itself throughout the day, so if new users are registered or old users return (and get mentioned) then their info will be cached immediately so queries will not be necessary afterward.

golden era of mybb right now

good job

Do you have to use quotations or is it as simple as @Wildcard? Biggest problem with Tomm's version was that you had to write @"Username"
#7
No quotation marks needed, but that causes usernames with a space in them to not work correctly. I am trying to figure that out now . . . It has proven quite difficult to overcome. :s

EDIT:

Just to be clear, all of the following work correctly:

@Wildcard
@"Wildcard"
@"Wild Card"

but not this:

@Wild Card

EDIT AGAIN: If using version 1.5 with advanced matching turned OFF, it will work like above. With it turned ON all of those will work.

For that to be even remotely useful it would need to auto-fill the username. Simply allowing you to type a username and then placing @ in front of it isn't worth creating a code button for imo.

Like that: If we click button open new window and we must write username. When write username on this window and click ok, this code add:

@"writing username"

I dont want auto complete.

How i make it?
