How would you go about updating this to work for MyBB 1.8? I can already see several ways to optimize this, however regardless of my PHP experience I have no experience with MyBB plugin development. I can't find documentation on the plugin compatibility differences between the two versions.

Well, if it removes the possibility to register and login and replaces with steam login, then this is perfect.

With a small bit of research and aleast 15IQ you could figure out you need to update the plugin.
