The YouTube Embed plugin adds tags for embedding YouTube videos. So instead of finding the share button and embedding a large code, simply use the custom tags by the plugin which are [yt] and [/yt]. We already have a mycode for YouTube videos but it's [video=youtube]Link[/video], I believe my tags are smaller and also has a controlled width and height of the embedded video. There are similar YouTube plugins but the best part is that when you click the video, it plays on the very same spot which means it doesn't open in other windows, etc.

How to use this plugin?

Use the tags by the plugin which are [yt] and [/yt] so this is an example of how you would post it on a thread.

How to get direct link?

The direct link is the link you see at the top of your browser where the URL is.

How to install this plugin?

1. Upload this to .inc/plugins
2. Login to ACP
3. Go to Configuration>Plugins
4. Find YouTube Embed Mycode
5. Activate it.
6. Done.

Plugin was last updated in March 2012, it might be buggy and at least this one doesn't take up space neither insert queries.

No need to be honest because it embeds the video with the exact view of how the youtube video looks on YT.
