How can I change font size for the topics and general text for posting and forum descriptions? I messed around a bit in the global.css but didnt see no changes. I posted my globa.css below because I am using a custom theme.

The topic links would be basically all the site links.

Try editing a:link in global.css to your liking.

To change the colors of forum descriptions, you need to add a hex color code in the "color" field in the .trow1 and .trow2 class.

When trying to change the font size and colors in a Theme I get stuck at the abbriviations used
Is there somwhere a "map" of what the different fonts are called??

There are soo many and not every browser support all.
That's why we use "Font Familys" in webdesign.
It always picks the first font and if a browser doesn't support that, it picks the second and so on. Google for "web font familys" or check out googles font database: http://www.google.com/webfonts
