Sorry. I left the board closed when I had to go out. Sorry about that.

Landing on your page, I can see no indication of what AIO stands for - I assume it's an acronym. Even if you expect your target audience to understand it, we might not, so you should (at least) tell us here.
What I suggest is the use of xThreads for your Marketplace especially, though that is just me. Also, consider your guests. I am looking at your site and see no immediate call out to join. Whilst some can see it as a good thing, you have no immediate content to market yourself on. Place a small, unobtrusive banner - I don't mean to make 50% of the height of the user's screen be taken up by a banner telling them to join. Perhaps a simple notification, like an alert bar saying "Hey, you're not registered. Have you considered it?" On my first glance, I assume you're a General Discussion forum. Please tell me what your Unique Selling Point is? Why should I join you over another General Discussion forum? On a lighter note, I applaud you for a lack of sections (no sarcasm). So many times we see a forum for Computers, then a subforum for Macintosh, Windows, Linux, and every other OS under the sun. Good job on keeping to a few. Forumdisplay- your "Post Thread" link is black, in total contrast to the rest of the theme. IMHO, it does not link to anything visually, I would perhaps make it a red color like your thead. Same with Post Reply.

I've thought about that but I thought it would be too needy and I don't have any idea where to put that. Why should I join you over another General Discussion forum? All In One. All general forums have their own unique selling point and many of them are very similar. I guess it would be community. The color changes from white text to red when hovered though.

Currently your Marketplace is just a plain old forum, where the trades are posted as threads. If you use the xThreads plugin, you could take it beyond that and create a full fledged trading forum. Take a look here. If you're still confused, PM me and I'll explain more.

He has XThreads installed Seabody - you can see that as he has a video gallery.
I think - that there is actually no need for a fully fledged set up until he gets some more posts in there. I have used the trading forum layout and it is good, but it takes a fair bit of discipline to stay on top of it.

The thing with that is it's built for more physical items than virtual which I think people would be more likely to sale. |
