1.8 "Replicate Theme" option
#1
I often have to export and re-import themes in order to continue work on a "Development" version. Would be nice if we could just replicate the theme that we have.

Yeah that would be good. In developing a theme you could want to go in two different directions and this would allow you to fork.
I would also like to see this implemented. Smile

That would be nice but I'm not sure whether we should implement it. But probably as a plugin?

Either would be good. Core would be better. :p

I think it's a reasonable feature. I'd love a pull request. Smile

I'm not a coder so perhaps my thinking is stupid...
but also as such, this as a rooted feature would be wasted on me.
so a plugin makes much more sense.

couldn't it be done to pull from a site backup?
thus, see what your actually developing with a pre populated format?

Just because you wouldn't use something doesn't mean it shouldn't be core.

This would be useful even if working in a staging environment.
