I upload favicon.ico in root and i added this code
<link rel="icon" type="image/icon" href="favicon.ico">
in header template but it is appearing

It can take some time for it to show up. Also, you don't need that code. Any modern web browser will be smart enough to fetch /favicon.ico.
No longer involved in the MyBB project.
