Steamprofile fix

I'm just wondering how would I be able to fix the flaws of the above. When someone links their steam community ID their link could either be:
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/7656119801130409
OR:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/7656119801130409
How can you just make it from just using this instead of the real Steam links?
