How to make a "Latest Posts" link?

I was just wondering if there's a nice, simple way to make a "Latest Posts" link for the top of my forum. So it would be like the "New Posts" or "Today's Posts", but would look the same for everyone and just literally list all posts chronologically starting with the newest. It would then of course be separated into pages, like the New and Today's ones.

Often, I don't click the New or Today's options, simply because they seem to complicated - I just want to see the latest posts in a simple and unambiguous form like the way I described above... sort of like a news feed kind of effect.

Any thoughts on the code for this? I imagine it would be very simple (simpler than getnew and getdaily) and added to search.php?
