Can you post what file extension you use for your images?

No like are you using .jpg, .gif, .png? Are they all the same? or are some different from others?

It is easiest if the file extension you use for your new images are the same as the old images (.gif)

collapse.gif -
collapse_collapsed.gif -
logo.gif -
thead_bg.gif -
tcat_bg.gif -

Name your files the same as above. Use SmartFTP to login to FTP account, open your forum's directory, then open the 'images' directory, then upload the new files into that folder, overwriting the existing ones.

Then to add the background image, change the Background box in the "Body" or "Content Container" sections to include:

url(images/yourbackgroundimage.gif)

If your file extension differs from the default MyBB image (like if you use .jpg, or .png) you need to do a bit more work:
Admin CP --> Themes --> Edit your theme
In the "General Options" section, find and change the URL of your logo.
In the "Table Header" section, find and change the URL in the background box.
In the "Table Subheaders" section, find and change the URL in the background box.

what about the collapse buttons? also where is the main title place in there? and when i change the bg in the table header it doesn't do anything?

ok i found the spots for everything i need accept the collapse buttons...when I put a url in that box it stays the same? how do I fix this? Thanks!

when I go to those spots and delete everything and put in the url it doesn't work...
