Google SEO - htaccess warning

I'm trying to get Google SEO mod to work correctly (my SEO URLs are returning 404s after applying changes to core files), and I'm assuming the problem has to do with my .htaccess file -- since the attached warning still appears even after I made the proper changes.

Has anyone else seen this problem? I've copy/pasted the exact syntax found in the warning message into my .htaccess file, but the warning still displays and the problem still exists.

Copy those lines and paste into your .htaccess file. Then save the file and upload it into your server. Please click on refer documentation link for more details on you error page (as per screenshot).

As stated in my original post, I did copy/paste all of those lines into my .htacess file - and then uploaded it to my server - replacing the file that was there.

It did not work, as also stated in my original post.

You have to paste them in correct place. Find the "RewriteEngine on" in you htaccess file and paste that part under the "RewriteEngine on".
