inline_edit.js question URGENT!!!!!

Guys does this inline_edit.js only controls "click and hold to edit" feature or it also controls other features????????

If you just rename the file and leave the code in template, it will still try to load the file and slow down the site..

What code do you recommend I should delete to avoid that?

Go to ACP -> Templates & Style -> Templates -> [Your Theme's Templates] -> Forum Display Templates -> forumdisplay_threadlist_inlineedit_js

and clear out the HTML (or comment it out)
