Not Solved [Mail] SMTP not working with Mybb
#1
Not Solved
I run a MYBB forum on a godaddy hosting account. In this MYBB forum, I have a forum register email authentication that uses SMTP. I entered the correct godaddy information in this SMTP setup in MYBB config (used port 25, 80, no security) and when i register an account on my MYBB forum, no email is being sent to my [email protected] godaddy email account.

The MYBB log is says "Unable to connect to the mail server with the given details. Reason: 111: Connection refused" but the odd thing here is that when i test the SAME exact settings on SMTP testing websites , the godaddy email goes through and works just fine. what do you think is going on?

Your web host may block SMTP connections.

btw: I doubt port 80 is correct...

I doubt GoDaddy is lying to me. They use 80 and don't block smtp. Any other suggestions?

Can you please provide a screenshot of your SMTP settings in the ACP?
