[How To?] Change post to be horizontal layout...doesn't work?

Dear all,

I was trying to force the forum post layout to be horizontally, and I followed the instruction from this tutorial,

but the method does not work for me. Pls help. The forum post layout has not changed at all (still showing vertically).
