I don't think that is necessary sorry. If other members believe this should be changed, we can push it.
All my plugins are available for free at MyBB Extend and on my GitHub. MyBB-Plugins.com has been closed and none of my plugins are officially maintained or supported.

I do not see this as a bug, but it would increase the UX... so maybe as enhancement for 1.8.1 or a later version (issue with low priority)...

This can be pushed. I'll include it in 1.8.1 'Hide stuff users can't see v2' because I found 2 or 3 little things too.
