MentionMe not automatically updating user styles

Hi, I'm using this plugin: http://community.mybb.com/thread-131448.html

An issue I have is that if a user's display group is changed, the one shown when they are @Mentioned is still the one they had when the plugin was first activated. In order to readjust the shown user style, I have to deactivate and reactivate the plugin.

Is this a bug or simply a lacking feature?

It's probably a cache-related issue.
If you are not particularly interested with MyAlerts integration you can try the alternative DVZ Mentions (works the same way).

Tell me the truth, MyBB-sempai, what are the odds of this actually being fixed?

Wildcard (its developer) is currently away but I'm sure he will be back when 1.8 is released. This has been discussed many times, yet has to be found a solution.

Flush the cache from the Cache panel to solve temporarily.
