I don't get it.How come alerts aren't present in the approved list.More than 90% users would love to see this feature...so....

I'd love to see Alerts (with functionality of MentionMe and Custom Alerts since they're really pretty much integral features for a fleshed out and high functioning alerts system) added to MyBB 2.0.

I wouldn't mind having a live update option. (I probably wouldn't use it, though others would.) But if it's there then there should also be a setting to turn it off and rely on reloading the page just so a script doesn't keep making all these calls to the server.

The "approved list" is not official or complete. We have never announced a list of features for 2.0.

As has already been said, it's very likely that something similar will show up in 2.0, but it is not promised. I know that multiple team members are strongly in favor of alerts, so it has a good chance.

Yes! I think it would be amazing for them to implant a notification system.

Will be good to see this, don't see why the team would launch myBB 2.0 without it in all honesty.
