i tried mozilla firefox but Staying in two stages, the 1 hour was still the same

Your primary problem is that your Server is "slow", whatever that means Wink
You could copy your Forum to your local Computer perform the upgrade there and move everything back.

That is a decision only you can make.

How many postings do you have in your Forum ?

yes, it would be better to do upgrading on local server (eg. xampp server) and later transfer to web server

Big Board Owner badge says that there are many users & lot of posts. database upgrade takes time

also as suggested earlier, this could be helpful

It took a few minutes to upgrade my forum (running the whole upgrade script) with 190k post and it's just on a VPS...
