[1.6.15 to 1.8] Quick edit & multiquote broken

Hello folks,

Just upgraded my MyBB 1.6.15 installation to 1.8 and now doing bug hunting.


1. Quick Edit:


^ This happens when I click on Quick Edit (Full edit works).



2. Multiquote


So when I select posts for multiquote and click the link under the editor field to paste them into my post the loading icon appears but it loads forever and they posts are not being quoted into my post.





I reimported the MyBB 1.8 default theme from /install/resources/mybb_theme.xml because the old default from 1.6 that was upgraded by the installer was very broken.

Any ideas?

When trying to paste the quotes from the multiquote there is the error below in the browser debugger.

SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 2 of the JSON data jquery.js:4

Somehow it seemed that xmlhttp.php wasn't updated properly and that caused Quick Edit and Multiquote not to work properly.
