icons will look different as i have used font awesome icons on the demo site... these links will give you some ideas on using font awesome icons...

regarding setting logo and menu in same line, its all about the margin values... you can try editing the following margin values to place them as you expect... if you need more help please provide your forum url..

#logo img {margin-bottom: 10px;}
#search {margin: 0;}
#topmenu {margin: 30px 0 -14px 0;}
