[Mail] emails not getting delivered

I m noticing the emails are not getting delivered for anything, including registration verification emails.

Go to the admin cp -> tools -> system mail log
index.php?module=tools-mailerrors

Does it say anything?

I made it work, by manually adding smtp details. Its blank by the way.
