Merge Questions

Is it possible to merge from icyboard to mybb?

Like, I have no idea... I mean they use the same software once is just preset up.. so I assume maybe.. possibly.. yes?

Would it be hard?

Or do I need to go ask spork? XD

do you get database backup from icyboards ? if yes then you can use it for merge system / fresh MyBB forum on own hosting.

I haven't created a forum on there yet, but according to what I see there is an option to download database backups, so would the merge process be any different than other ones? And would it be hard?

^ if you can get database then it is not a difficult process to use it for the Merge system.

Note that the database (usually) doesn't contain the attachments so the merge system isn't able to merge them without the original files.

Sorry I'm not sure what that means, what attachments?

Attachments are uploaded files, eg images. If your board has them you'd need to copy them too.

You don't need to merge anything. IcyBoards is MyBB. All you need to do is load the export into your database and set the user/database parameters in your config.php.
