Posts coming up as "click to edit"

All my posts are coming up as "click to edit", if you press the edit button you see the original post. Same thing on all themes, latest mybb install, only 2 mods active, activate users from modcp and lightirc chat.

^ disable recently added custom MyCodes and check

Problem was solved; after a merge from phpbb all was well until smilies were added and the posts started misbehaving.

Smilies were deleted and now the posts are fine. I suspect one or more misconfigured smilie.
