Not Solved Square Theme Questions (by eNvy)

It's the same, you need to reduce the height of the header, and adjust the logo and the menu at the top, removing the margin.
I don't give support on PM.

Hi eNvy,

i have a question about the announcements on the portal page.
Is it possible to disable the avatar pictures just for the portal page?

I need a clear news page, without width loss because of avatars.

Tank you.

Hi,

go to ACP > Templates & Styles > Templates > Square Templates and open the theme template "portal_announcement" in Portal Templates to edit.

Replace the whole content of portal_announcement with:
<table cellspacing="{$theme['borderwidth']}" cellpadding="{$theme['tablespace']}" class="tborder">
<tr>
<td class="thead"><strong>{$icon} <a href="{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/{$announcement['threadlink']}">{$announcement['subject']}</a></strong></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="trow2" align="right">
<span class="smalltext">{$lang->posted_by} {$profilelink}  - {$anndate} - {$lang->forum} <a href="{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/{$announcement['forumlink']}">{$announcement['forumname']}</a> {$numcomments}</span>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="trow1">
<table border="0" cellpadding="{$theme['tablespace']}" style="width: 100%;">
	<tr>
		<td class="trow1 scaleimages">
			{$message}
			{$post['attachments']}
		</td>
	</tr>
	<tr>
		<td align="right" colspan="2" valign="bottom">
			<span class="smalltext">
				<a href="{$mybb->settings['bburl']}/printthread.php?tid={$announcement['tid']}"><img src="{$theme['imgdir']}/printable.png" alt="{$lang->print_this_item}" title="{$lang->print_this_item}" /></a>{$senditem}
			</span>
		</td>
	</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
<br />

Save changes and try it!

In firefox the posts are much bigger as in the other web explorers.

Do you have any idea how to fix that?

That's the default portal page, I didn't touch the portal.

Well... you have a style that I don't develop, so, I don't know if the guy who translate and modify the theme put all like the original. Square was tested to work fine in Chrome, Mozilla, Opera and I think it works on IE 10++, but no on IE 8/7/6 (Sorry but I don't like IE).

Possibly you need to adjust the width of the box that contains the text (Only to work fine on Mozilla).

That's because "max-width: 100%" for images doesn't work in firefox.

A fix for that would be to add a new css class into Square "portal_announcement" template.

Search in Square "portal_announcement" template for (first line):
<table cellspacing="{$theme['borderwidth']}" cellpadding="{$theme['tablespace']}" class="tborder">

Replace this with:
<table cellspacing="{$theme['borderwidth']}" cellpadding="{$theme['tablespace']}" class="tborder portal_announcement">

Save changes and add at bottom of the Square.css file:
.portal_announcement .scaleimages img {
 max-width: 695px;
}

Save and try!

1) It's the SCEditor, not a thing from the theme (I change the font in all the template to use the custom one).
2) It's supposed to be aligned to the left or right, because I used lists to display and align the links. Can you give me your forum URL so I can check the code ?
