Notification System
#11
Hi,

The architecture for 2.0 is entirely different. If the team do agree to implement desktop notifications, it'll be added to our feature list and implemented when we reach it Smile

I would prefer the notifications only on the browser, not on desktop, like facebook or this forum:

For example when a user replies to your post, if someone puts "I like" on your post, if someone tags you etc., instead of always refresh the forum to see if there are new unread posts.

That can be enabled and disabled. I preffer the desktop one Smile

I definitely prefer browser, but as long as individual users can set their preference (browser, desktop, none) I'm fine with it.

I would like it like the myalerts plugin but except with a dropdown menu kinda like facebook and not the current seperate one that pops up with the plugin. I am very excited to see this in action though!

When someone quotes (parts of) my post does it give a notification?

Yes, it will do. So long as you have that alert enabled of course (as a user and as an administrator). It will behave similarly to my MyAlerts plugin, albeit with more functions and fewer bugs (hopefully!).
