Edit: Lost (image) attachment function
#11
I've uploaded a .bmp file less than 500KB and gives me the below error when I click the image GIF.

The image “http://www.ej8squad.com/attachment.php?aid=67” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Not for me:

The specified thread does not exist.

When you loaded the image you let it load completely (or what it would) because in Firefox I often see that error if I'm loading an image and press back (or something) to disrupt the images loading.

Sorry I deleted that test post. The image loads completely. It just doesn't want to display a thumbnail. In IE 7 it's just shows a red "X". I may have found something that may shed some light on this. My captcha verification method does not work either, there is no picture. As recommended from this thread. I ran the below action.

The result is:

"The image “http://www.ej8squad.com/captcha.php?action=regimage&imagehash=test” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors."

I'm thinking that my host doesn't have GB installed or configured correctly. Even though I verified it is enabled in my PHP info.

Anymore help on this? It's bugging me.

Please ask your host if it's a configuration issue with their GD?

Yeah I did that and they were not helpful. Below is their lame reply.

"Regarding the installation of the GD library, we don't assist in the installation of third party libraries or programs. I'm quite sorry!

Thanks!

Christian"

Hosts tend to do that Rolleyes Perhaps they misunderstood, that this isn't a third party library. It's a extension they support and should upkeep with your current hosting package. I dunno maybe threating you'll leave them, will work?

I would persist them a little bit more, and be more specific.
I don't know how specific you were on your first round, but I would say, "Do you have the php_gd2 extension enabled for php?"

I'll ask your question. I'll let you guys know what they say.

Do you guys even think this is my problem? Is there a way I can confirm that php_gd2 extension is enabled for php?

Can you upload your captcha.php here?

It's spitting out an error on that test page and when looking at the MyBB source here I can't match the line numbers up with a stock install - so just attach it here and i'll fix you up with a working copy.
