Edit: Lost (image) attachment function

Right now I'm at a loss with why it's not working. the GD appears fine and so should the MyBB code.

I switched themes and the problem is still there with the default theme.

How can I verify that these images from this post exist on the server? This sucks I hate it when things don't work when they are supposed to.

Would upgrading to the newest version fix things? Or would it just compound my problems?

If any admins want an account to see if they can upload pictures. PM and I'll give you a temp username and password.

What version of MyBB were you running?

I don't think it'll make a difference, but it's always worth a try.

Well, I downloaded the contents of one of your attached images (one previously linked here) and looking at the contents of the image it's not even producing a valid header for the image- there is no standard JPG header in the file http://www.ej8squad.com/attachment.php?aid=41.

It seems something has happened and the contents of uploads/ is corrupt - well binary files are anyway.

Can you link me to a new attached image you freshly uploaded?

Just for the heck of it I installed the latest MyBB on a fresh database and the attachments worked.

I forgot I have Gallery 2.1.2 installed, using a CAPTCHA for registration and that works fine. I just don't know what's messed up on the MyBB. Corrupt file?

I've upgraded to 1.2.3 hoping that it would solve my ongoing problem. No such luck.
