There is no way for an admin to determine how long an entry stays in the search log without modifying the file /inc/tasks/hourlycleanup.php. I'd propose to have it be modified in config.php like the rest of the log pruning is done. I'd also request that removing old searches should be handled in /inc/tasks/logcleanup.php instead. It makes no sense for search logs to be in a separate place.
