How to remove this system .

I fear that is not exactly what he wants .m.

The list of "messages in this thread" is not known to me. As this is obviously a theme, look whether this is a theme option.

I do not understand the second point.

It is what he wants. "Messages in this thread" box belongs to the threaded/Usenet mode which needs to be switched back to linear.
