Post count not going up..

There's a thread on my forum "count to 1000" it has 217 replies. But yesterday when posting within this thread the users post count didn't go up ....for example i would have a total of 430 posts whenever i make a quick reply or new reply within that thread i would still remain at 430 instead of 431 is there a fix for this?

Perhaps it's a forum game? check the permissions.
