Google SEO plugin

hi, i'm working on a new site (powered by myBB) and i have questions about Google SEO plugin

1) is it working without problems on version 1.8.5 ?
2) is it working without problems or conflict with the XThreads plugin ?
3) can i write code and not using the Google SEO plugin ? what about the code, is there any post to help me ?
4) what about the spammers ? the use of the plugin increase or decrease the number of spammers ?

4. It makes your site SEO friendly. Yes, it does increase the spammers, but the plugin works very good, as long as you have a good spam protection.

is it possible to install and use Google SEO without the PluginLibrary?
(i don't want to use a lot of plugins....)
