I'm really getting sick of this. that worked and thank you so much. My new problem is that, ,my main forums are pushed to the side. They dont even fill the middle. I'm really sorry for wasting your time.... This should be my last problem hopefully.

^ looks like you have removed sidebar.
index template should be having a div element with style property width: 74%; - change it to 100%

Ok. Done. I re-activated the sidebars and they now show up at the very bottom of the forums.

^ if you want to use the sidebars then above referred div element should have reduced width (ex. 74%)
if you do not want to use the sidebars then that div element can be set with 100% width
