Merge 1.6.13 to 1.8.6

I'm trying to import a database from 1.6.13 to 1.8.6 and it's giving me an error(I think a timeout error) when trying to import my 35 thousand users. I've went from the normal 1000 import to 500 and I tried 50 and still getting an error.
Now it's redirecting my website ( localhost/mybb(/merge) to http://localhost.com/mybb(/merge)

For the merge I clicked 1.8(merge) radio button because I didn't see a 1.8.
Anything to help would be good.

There's no way to import a 1.6 board to 1.8. You would need to upgrade the 1.6 board to 1.8 and then run an import from 1.8.
